We all know the rules - You must be the photographer, and it must be taken this month. Use whatever camera you have with you at the time.

Photo manipulation of contrast, lens correction (chromatic aberration, pin cushion, etc), exposure, brightness, color, sharpness and crop are allowed. "Chopping" something into the image is not allowed.

You may submit several images to get feedback, but by the deadline you must edit it down to one for the voting poll.

Use of Smart phone apps is allowed. No borders but filters are ok. Also vignettes are okay unless they are used as a frame.

Deadline: Midnight CDT, November 30th.

Almost a historical landmark in my hometown. Anyone growing up here that had dreams of being a rock star walked through the doors at Pete's Music City. Buying that first cheap guitar, taking lessons, and practicing to your fingers bled. It's been here 50 yrs on our main street downtown. So many memories.

At the Orange County Public Schools All-County Orchestra Concert, 10-Nov-2012.

I was in the middle of the audience, taking a few pics from my seat using available-light through a moderately-long lens (EXIF info is present).

The kids did good, and I got my quota of culture... :)

love how it turned out that they were lined up so that is looks like it flows and then finishes with the bang on the end....

I also like how all the instruments are still at different angles, and seems there's another feature-line through those also. This one pic stood out when I previewed the set, and only decision was where to crop. I did a close-crop around that one group, and maybe cropped a bit low to emphasize the instruments (and to show the edge of the stage). Think I like it this way though, but we'll see...
