Years ago I knew somebody who was a liberal anti-gun fanatic. He endlessly told the story of how the mailman he knew when he was six had died from a gunshot during a robbery. He wanted to ban all guns. I pointed out how most gun crime criminals were democrats and a big step forward would be to simply ban liberals from owning guns. He choked a moment and came back with, "But that wouldn't be fair!". :leaving:

That'll never happen but they can certainly turn millions upon millions of honest gun owners into instant criminals with their laws.

Thing is if they really think a few mental defects shooting people is such a problem why are they in a rush to get normal people to join them? Because stopping a few deaths isn't their objective.

I wonder if the term "acceptable losses & population" control ever comes up behind those closed-door meetings.
