Remember almost all of it - never got the whole "James Dean" thing though, always looked like he was trying to ease one out....

I think I'm a bit younger than you (DOB 1950) and I also remember most -- but not all -- of it.

It's the Statler Brothers singing BTW. There are other versions of them doing it with different images.

"Moon" hubcaps? -- definitely remember them! I had baby moons on my new '68 Camaro. They were still "a thing" then. :seasix:

Oldsters tend to remember the good stuff..

I went to school in the 50's with kids stricken with polio walking with double canes and I hid under sheets in the hallways during school drills in case Russia dropped "the big one".
Lots of other examples. HOWEVER, the country and globe were a better place to live then, than now IMO.

Yep, I had a couple kids in my class that had polio, one had a brace, the other guy didn't need one. He was in my gym class and was a beefy muscular guy, but his one leg was the size of the average man's arm. But he didn't let it stop him -- he was on the gymnastics team.

We did the Russian bomb drills in the hallway too. As a kid, I couldn't figure out why the Russian people hated us. At some point I realized they didn't -- the problem was THE GOVERNMENTS, not the Russian people or us.

Now our own government is weaponized against us, after a century of Marxists undermining and taking over everything. Their biggest enemy is always their own people.
