OddBall 12-29-2017 2:24pm

Depending on the laptop and the docking station, you may be able to drive 2.

:yesnod:

Counting the screen on the notebook, get two of these, and then you can have 5. GWiz is running 3 as we speak with the same adapter. :seasix:

For those with Surface Pro- I had issues running 2 4K monitors using the docking station. I had to plug one monitor into the Surface Pro and all was well.

One on the right is 28", the one on the left is 24". Her notebook is only 15" screen. These are the scraps lying around the house, but she's happy.

When you are doing client/server development work with large data sets and servers, you can't get enough monitors.

syf350 01-06-2018 7:38pm

Is there anything special the laptop needs software wise to know it's got 4 screens?

syf350 01-14-2018 2:51pm

Craig, i have everything set up but having problems with configuring it. think you can walk me through this on the phone? i'll im you my number. thanks

Datawiz 01-14-2018 3:11pm

Problem solved. Now Josh will be joining GWiz and me in the multiple monitor club. It's a slippery slope. Wonder how long it takes him to crave more than 5 monitors...

I like my 32" screen, but miss the dual monitor setup.

Just because the screen is big doesn't mean you have desktop real estate. It's all about the number of pixels on that desktop that matter.

I need to get some sort of arm to mount my second monitor to the side. The picture on my Asus is outstanding. This Samsung while good, not quite as good. The Asus also has a 2ms response time.
