Lifting Pucks-Cheap

5 Attachment(s)
Well.....not that permanent, can be easily removed if necessary.

Those with C5's, C6's, and possibly the C7's, here's an inexpensive way of installing permanent pucks. If you have to take it to the shop and the tech scratches his head saying..."what's a puck?" Then you need not elaborate, show him, just tell him to lift where the pucks are.

What's involved:

4 Vibeaway rubber pads (any appliance store)

4 fender washers (Ace Hardware)

4 1/4-20 3" toggle bolts ( " )

Cost: pads $10.95

Hardware $3.00

Total: $13.95

Piece of cake to install. Just drill out a hole on the pad, add hardware, stick 'er in the hole, tighten, good to go.

The cheapest I have seen the pads is about $15.00 for 4. The washers, themselves, must be at least $2.00 for 4 and the toggle bolts have to be at least $4.00 each so I question your figures.

Hockey pucks (@ $1.29) seem to be cheaper than those pads.

Jeez, I'll send you the receipts, for craps sake.

PM me your address.

I've done those in your link, if you don't center the eye bolts just right, they fall out occasionally before I get the lift arms up to meet the pucks.

When I lived in VA I called every sporting goods store in Hampton Roads and they all acted like I was crazy asking for hockey pucks.:willy: Now that I live in Michigan I find them lying on the side of the road, go figure.

Use those vs. hockey pucks. :seasix:

OK thanks. That was almost five years ago. Today, I just order hockey pucks from Amazon, cheap. Hardware from Ace, Lowes, etc.

Works well. Most 4 swing arm lifts have rubber pads at the lifting points. Those lifting points go up against the pucks which eliminated the lift from coming into contact with any plastic body parts. Works as intended.

BUMP:! These are also really nice. I have these on my ride. Been there for 4 years now, never a single issue. https://www.amazon.com/Adapter-Alumi...%2C212&sr=8-16
