Hey Flex/Canadian VB'ers: Are You Getting Inexpensive US Produced Milk Up There Yet?

Just curious if the new USMCA has actually started already.

Just bought a half gallon of 2% house brand for $ 1.07 yesterday. I guess that's like what, $ .38 Canadian? What do y'all pay for milk?

Bill: Prepare to have your mind blown.

Canada has cows. No, not the ones that wander the aisle of your Walmarts, but actual dairy cows. :yesnod:

Living in America's Dairyland, I was quite surprised by the size of grazing cows when I recently drove through Kansas.
They're are rather small vs the normal milk producers in the mid-west.
Beef feeders are like 1/3 to half the size of a milker :willy:

Nothing, and I mean nothing, compares to a Walmartian hefalumper.:toetap:

Oh, I know that. I've just heard that milk is quite expensive in Canada, vs. the US, and the USMCA was supposed to open the Canadian market to US milk without the previously excessively high tariffs.

Almond milk here :yesnod:

How does one milk an almond?

While the SO eats raw almonds, I prefer the roasted & salted variety.
It's actually good for lowering cholesterol and too.
I have yet to see any form of milk in any of them.

Just checked with Mrs Flex and she says that American milk is available here now but most stores aren't stocking it.

Truly cannot remember the last time I actually bought milk or went grocery shopping.

Maybe 6 or 7 years ago when her sister was dying and I used to grocery shop while she visited her sister. I would just about go full rage mode every Saturday. LOL. Little kunts working the cash would never bag the groceries. They'd just scan everything and put it on the conveyor belt. Hey moron, you've already picked up the item to scan it, wouldn't it be just as easy to drop it in the bag in front of you than to put it on the conveyor belt behind you? EVERY ****ING TIME. I wrote an e-mail to the manager and he told me they are trained that way because it's faster. BULLSHIT. How is picking up everything TWICE faster?????

I think because they want the customer to do the bagging of the groceries.

**** that I never did.

If I wanted to bag my own groceries I'd have gone to one of the cheapo stores where you know you're bagging your own and you pay for 5 cents for each bag. LOL.

When it is literally the most expensive store I'm not bagging my own ****ing groceries.
