Prayers for my Dad
My father was taken by ambulance to the hospital late last night. 103° Fever and in a lot of pain. He is currently in the ICU. Current diagnosis is Pneumonia with sepsis from a blood infection. They are trying to figure out the cause of the blood infection. I talked to him on the phone, he sounds pretty bad. :sadangel:
Say a little prayer for him. We don't always see eye to eye, but he's my father and I love him. |

Damn, sorry to hear that. On the plus side, the hospitals have the most bad assed antibiotics known to man, so I bet he'll be feeling better within a few days, even if it takes a couple weeks to finally rid his body of all the infection. Keep us posted.

That's some serious state to be in, hopefully can beat it.

I went through exactly that with my Dad 20+ years ago. Rushed to the hospital, terrible bacterial infection focused on his lungs. Doctors said they had to "take a guess" at what drug would match the bug, because they didn't have time to culture anything. Apparently, they guessed correctly, and I took him home literally less than 48 hours after admission.
Here's to hoping your Dad's Doctors guess as well, or at least guess well enough to get a culture and get the right drug in him! |
