Anybody had a sleep study?

I just scheduled my third. First two were ten years ago. Weirdest experience ever. They found out I was a reptile. Still can’t sleep.

thecornerman 12-14-2020 11:30pm

Yes, had a bunch of wires held to my head with wax
Best night sleep ever!
Should I buy a hospital bed?

LisaJohn 12-14-2020 11:38pm

Yes. I flunked.

Allan 12-14-2020 11:39pm

Same as a COPD exam?

Giraffe (He/Him) 12-15-2020 4:30am

I had one about 10 years ago. They claim they've never had a patient that's woken up as much as I did without having sleep apnea.

Uncle Meat 12-15-2020 7:00am

Had one just last week. Was diagnosed with Sleep Apnea. Have to go back for another test on January 4th, only this time I'll be connected to one of those sleep apnea machines for the night. Oh joy.

U.M.

Yes. Sleep apnea.

17 events an hour to include Bruxism.

Zed16 12-15-2020 9:08am

7 or 8 years ago. I had so many events, they stopped the test after an hour and slapped a CPAP mask on me.

SnikPlosskin 12-15-2020 2:04pm

Wow. I honestly surprised. Did it help anyone?

I got diagnosed with sleep apnea, but the CPAP machine doesn't help. Seems to help everyone else, but for the year I had the damn thing, I didn't get any better sleep than before.

Rodnok1 12-15-2020 2:29pm

Think I know more people who have had them than not had them at this point. They wanted me to have one... Yea no i cannot sleep for 2 or 3 nights at a new place, serious I'm lucky to get an hr a night then usually takes a week to get half assed back to normal. So it would never work for me even if they doped me.

Hardluck 12-15-2020 2:45pm

Had two. Been on a CPAP for about 25 years.

mrvette 12-15-2020 3:06pm

I wake up the neighbors, so I dunno......lately I snooze 2-3 times during daylight hours...and only 5-6 hrs starting long about 9pm.....get up, go pee, hit the .net but if wife is out in LRm where the 'puter' is the TV is on, so I doze off in the lounge chair.....snore.....

:issues::dance:

The_Dude 12-15-2020 3:07pm

It didn't help me. I also ended up with a cpap.

z06psi 12-15-2020 3:47pm

APAP here and absolutley sleep like a baby.

7 hours a night.

69camfrk 12-15-2020 4:18pm

Had it. failed it, don't have a C Pap, and don't want it......:hurray:

PLRX 12-15-2020 6:21pm

I have been using the CPAP since 2009, and it is the best medication I have ever received. Yes. they hook you up to The Matrix and is a bitch to sleep with those wires. The first time I walked out, the second, third, and fourth I took an Ambien.

I take time to adjust to the mask while you sleep, but once you are in, you will never be able to sleep without it.

LisaJohn 12-15-2020 7:03pm

I can’t (and will not) sleep without it now.

The_Dude 12-15-2020 8:32pm

I drugged myself for two weeks to get used to the mask. The mask doesn't bother me anymore, but I still have the same sleep issues. The wife is happier as I'm not snoring when I am asleep.

Zed16 12-15-2020 9:27pm

The best thing about the mask....

I don’t here the wife snore.
