FYI: Rock + 75mph + Windshield = $1100

Smacked a sizable rock on the interstate this week. :beat:
Now I have a crack stretching from the top to the bottom of my windshield.
New one on the way next week. I need beer.

That sucks,

Same thing happened on my Z06.

Where are you having the repair work done?

OEM glass?

Doesn't your insurance cover it? I have zero deductible since it's literally a few dollars a year for that coverage.

Yes, it seems that is all you can really get for the vette. They either order it from the dealer or buy it from the company that makes it for GM (but missing little GM mark).

The difference for me between zero deductible and $100 was about $6 a year.

Check it out.

Good on OEM, hope the company that is doing it is not off Lovell RD. They skinned the nose on the car and denied it. Long battle they finally made right.

I already did. You are absolutely right, difference is very small. Wish I had noticed that when I renewed.:slap:

There is like about 3 glass companies off of Lovell. :D
I'm letting Safelite do it as my insurance company supposedly "lifetime guaranty's the work" And I will be standing there watching.:D

Kick the windshield all the way out from the inside.
Roll through tech inspection and explain that it's just really clean.

(I also suggest rolling the windows down)
