Feel good story from Southwest Florida

Naples hospital fund raiser for a black man who has worked for 22 years at the hospital, but spends 4 hours a day riding the bus to/from work. Co-workers stepped up and bought him a car, and even kicked in for insurance.

clicky for the video

But isn’t Florida full of racists according to STD??? Hard work gets rewarded.

I get Collier County is pricy, Naples particularly, but damn, how far out do you have to actually go to find affordable housing? Last time I was there, Everglades Blvd and beyond, was out in the boonies and not that expensive.

When you stack this guy's dedication and commitment up against some illegal refusing to be removed from a lush hotel in NYC, it tells the story of those people who choose to build, and those who choose to destroy.

While I am happy to hear folks stepped up in this particular case, it pisses me off that the .gov fails in so many other ways when they have shit away trillions.
