Perhaps I should work on expressing myself more clearly

Or not. Let VBOT decide:

Is the phrase "Change the website NOW. I don't care about fonts or colors, the promotional literature that is in the hands of the customers points out a website that does not feature the product advertised. I don't care if it's 80% done, 50% done, or 30% done, change it RIGHT NOW and refine it later."

Now does anyone here have a problem understanding that set of instructions? :bigears:

Nope. Next time try: "You're fired if it's not done in xx minutes!" :beat:

Datawiz 09-20-2011 4:27am

So how many sugars do you want in your coffee?

Stangkiller 09-20-2011 6:29am

If ur website crew can't figure that out, it's time for a new crew.

xXBUDXx 09-20-2011 7:04am

So, you are saying you have some issues that need discussion at our next meeting?

Kuelblaz 09-20-2011 7:07am

Should I record that as "Old Business" or "New Business" ?

vetteman9368 09-20-2011 7:38am

MEC5LADY 09-20-2011 7:40am

Let me get this straight, you're talking to IT types and you expect them to do something NOW? Let me know how that works out for you.

Sea Six 09-20-2011 9:15am

To them, change it right now means they should start working on what will become the completed version right now.

Not, put the updated product info on the website right now and then start working on the final version.

Juggalo1 09-20-2011 9:57am

I'm surprised that you would send out promotional literature with a product that wasn't on the web site. Why are you yelling at them? LOL

NeedSpeed 09-20-2011 10:29am

Just have them post one of these:

Problem solved. :D

The magazine ad was scheduled for the November issue, sent out in October. At a trade show this weekend the magazine had advance copies for promotions that they were giving out, 20 days before we expected them to be out.

DAB 09-20-2011 10:41am

you'll need to fill out an online work order, print it out, scan it, email copies to random peeps, then follow up with phone calls, have a meeting to discuss the change meeting, then write up post meeting notes in longhand and snail mail those out for review and approval....:rofl:

it's a wonder anything useful ever gets done in business.

Yerf Dog 09-20-2011 10:42am

So how did the promotional literature get in the hands of the customers before the website was done? :toetap:

I am SOOOOOOOOOO glad I left all that behind when I became self employed.
