They still run plenty of 1970's era Grumman POS's around here. They constantly break down. I just don't understand how they keep those antiques running, or why.

I live rural and every PO driver in the area uses their own cars/SUVs. They say they make out better using their own (Normally 4x4) vechicle to get around with in the winter. It appears the PO also pays them much better in the long run that if they used issued PO vechicles.
Their all very good driving on the passenger side. My driver has a run of over 20 miles. WE normally get our mail between 11.30 and 1PM. Any big packages that do not fit the box he drives up the 1/4 mile hill to where we live. |
