Abenatti convicted in Nike extortion plot

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...tion-case.html

Michael Avenatti has been convicted on all counts in his Nike extortion case.

The lawyer was charged last year after the sports company accused him of trying to extort it for $25million.

They said Avenatti threatened to expose Nike for allegedly funneling payments to college basketball players. He denied it vehemently.

On Friday, a jury in New York convicted the lawyer, who is best know for once representing Stormy Daniels, on all counts of honest services fraud and extortion.

The maximum sentence in that case is 42 years behind bars, but it is only one of three trials Avenatti is the defendant in.

He has also been charged with 36 counts of fraud in a sweeping indictment by the IRS and the Justice Department in California.

That case - which carries a maximum sentence of 335 years - has not yet begun.

In the third case, he is accused of stealing $300,000 from Daniels, who he represented in her allegations against President Trump - who she says she had sex with - int he 2016 presidential election.

Good, I hope this scum bag spends the rest of his life in prison. Or maybe he will get Epsteined.

Could not have happened to a nicer guy!:hurray:

Since he was a heavy opposition to Trump, I assumed the fine people of New York would find him not guilty. Nice to see him getting his due.

While he's in prison, he will figure out a way to defraud the commissary system.:yesnod:

if he had an afro hairdo, and kneeled during the anthem, he would have gotten away with it.

CNN, CNBC, CBS, and many others will be saddened that their "boy" is guilty.

Doesn't seem like it. McCabe just got let go after admitting to perjury. Vindman will face no punishment from the military. Comey, Brennan, Stryzok, Page, and the rest are out walking free. The Bidens are walking free.

Unless you're associated with Team Trump, you get a pass on anything political related. Avenatti got convicted of trying to extort Nike, not for any of his anti-Trump activities.

:iagree:

Acts against Republicans are given a free pass. Anything done by a R seems to earn an excessive jail sentence
