Daughter helped save a life today
 

My youngest, Meghan, blessed with three daughters, works on CCU floor.
Youngest RN on floor, they waived the 3-year work history, as she did her clinicals there.
Been full-time for almost two years, learns something new everyday, likes the challenge.
This AM a patient coded, her charge nurse grabbed her and advised she would do more than observe.
Doc told her to straddle the patient and give compressions, very physical, she did excellent, doctor commended her, the patient will live to enjoy another hospital lunch.

Great feeling to know your children are in a career they love, and making an impact.

I take no credit, her mom did all the heavy lifting.

And yes, here she is, great kid, her smile is her best asset!!

My daughter is studying to be a nurse and they're aren't enough out there. Keep up the good work!

Kudos for your daughter! Great job! I built a home in Coral Springs back in 1978. I was on the fire dept there for over 10 years. Became fire chief. Good ol days!

Nurses are special.
Wifey has been a nurse for 35 years, pediatric intensive care.
Middle daugher has been a nurse for 2 years, mothers and babies.
Youngest has been a nurse for 2 years, cardiac care unit.
Oldest daughter is a medical lab worker.
M-I-L was a nurse for 40+ years, retired now, and ignoring all doctor's orders.

Coral Springs has grown since then.
Now there are 135K residents, 8 total fire stations, 3 are in Parkland as they contract services.
You should have stayed here, as I think the fire captain makes $200K/year.

Pretty smiles are a dime a dozen, having the brains to not get by just on looks is pretty darn rare.
