Ten to fifteen for bad parenting

I had a guy at work like these parents. His kid had rage issues to the point that he wrecked 3 family cars in the driveway during a meltdown. Not 3 months later, Dad is showing off videos of his kid at the firing range blowing off steam.

So the leftists infesting our schools say that your kids are their kids and they can do what they like with them. They can turn them into gay commies and, if you complain, they can have the state take them from you. They can give them puberty blockers which will destroy their bodies for the rest of their miserable life and they do not have to inform you.
But, let your evil crotch spawn shoot up a classroom or two, and suddenly they are YOUR children and you are responsible. Sounds about right. :island14: |
It's a slippery slope when we start punishing people because they may or may not have prevented someone else from committing a crime.

Don't know what's changed, but myself and nearly every friend, had parents that had firearms around and accessible. Nobody I knew as a kid messed with them. Most parents were ex or current military and if a child wanted to handle a firearm it was done with parental supervision, patience and with safety uppermost in mind.
The consequences from the parents was dire to say the least if you dicked with ANY of their stuff. I did find Dad's cache of Hustler magazines, but, no instruction was required for their use. |
Will they apply this to all juvenile crimes? Little Bob sold crack and had stolen gun. Parents goto jail also? Just a bad example. I bet it won't be.

Looking forward to seeing a long list of gangbanger's parents going to jail for their murders and crimes!

Bad verdict. I hope they appeal and win.
Having said that, they aren't going to win any parenting awards any time soon but they should not have been convicted. |

That was my first thought when I heard of their sentencing. I’m guessing for this one case there are a thousand ‘poor parenting’ cases out there in inner cities where guns are knowingly lying around the house and some juvenile uses them to commit a crime. I really don’t see much difference. Many of those ‘parents’ should see jail time as well. |

Too much discipline is bad, not enough discipline is bad and only a jury can decide what the right amount is...after the fact. This "looks" like the right thing to do, but in these times, if it looks right, you can be sure it will be bastardized and used in a way that was never intended. |
I’m glad they’re going to the can with their offspring, the streets will be a little bit safer.
