Coke Has Joined Nike on Our Family’s “NO BUY” List

Telling their employees to “be less white”. Total bullshit.

Want me less white? Give me more paid vacation time in the sun.

Both the wife and I quit drinking Diet Coke. I do get it on occasion when having a burger and fries. Before, we would have a case of Diet Coke in the spare frig.

I had to give up regular soda when I was diagnosed with diabetes. When the arthritis in my hands started up, I read where aspartame is shown to be an inflammatory, so I quit diet soda too. Like you, I will have a diet whatever they have when my wife and I go to the Diner, more or less as a special treat. Honestly, I don't even miss it.

Oh yeah, **** Coke.

I used to drink 1-2 Diet Cokes a day, even at work. My wife wanted quit drinking it to improve her overall health, and she's gone about 8 months now without it. So when she quit, I also quit, but for some reason, I like having a Diet Coke with my In-&-Out burger and fries that I get on occasion. Bummer that In-&-Out does not offer beer instead. :datawiz:

Oh... **** COKE!

I very rarely drink soda. My wife recently brought home some small brand Root Beer and Cream Soda made with real cane sugar, it is pretty tasty.

I have never owned anything from Nike and never will. Also I have never been a fan of coke. Now when I go out to eat if they have coke I will order tea or water.:cert:

The Coca Cola company has ~3,500 beverages and 500 companies in 200 countries so whoever wants so quit better do some research. Oh yeah, and boycotts don’t really work. They do not GAFF if a few million choose not to purchase their products ever again. They may be impacted by the covid like everyone else, but boycotts? Pfft.

Been hooked on Canada Dry Ginger Ale for a long time. When out, either coffee or iced tea.

As well as MLB and other sports

Mt Dew is not a Coca-Cola product...That is all.

Exactly. :iagree:

Any company the size of Coca-Cola or Nike is nearly immune to boycotts. And chances are they've already considered at length the results of implementing a certain policy or taking a particular stance on an issue.

That said, there's nothing wrong with boycotting a company per se. If it makes you feel better you should do it...just know that it doesn't matter to the company you're boycotting. Ralph Lauren was my favorite clothing manufacturer for decades. But ever since they pulled their sponsorship from Pro Golfer Justin Thomas for uttering a "homophobic slur" under his breath, I decided that my money is better spent elsewhere. But never for a minute did I sit back and expect Ralph to call me and say they were backing away from their decision because I'm no longer buying their clothes.
