Backspacing - C5 vs C6?

Aloha all, can anyone tell me if the stock backspacing for the C5 & C6 are different?

Thanks!

Sneaks 10-23-2009 1:38pm

Yes, there is a slight difference in wheel offsets. Some have run C6 stock wheels with no problems. Others have reported needing spacers.
Stock size C6b wheels and tires will fit just fine. Larger tires will need a spacer.

Thanks brutha Sneaks.

Stock C6 wheels are way sunken in on a C5. They fit fine, but look like dookie.

The rears are, yes.

10" wide wheel with a 79mm offset.
I have 10" wide rear wheels on my car, had them made in a 52mm offset so they fit flush with the fender.

That offset difference pushes the C6 wheel inward a little over one inch. That's a lot!
