Mike's an old friend we started racing together and met up at Watkins Glen...he took me out a few times on the track, it felt great...he hit 145 on the front straight, 110 through the "bowl" back to 145-150 on the back straight and we were flying through the in field. I got my speed fix in and hopefully next year I can drive my own car again!
We ran a 1:01- 1:03 which isn't too bad considering he had street tires :)

On Saturday I was driving back home from an Amish grocery when I happened upon a garage sale. Turns out the guy had a heart attack and died. The property is for sale too. 37 acres with field that can hold horses, a spring and a large area in the back under large old trees that was used for entertainment. Volleyball net, horseshoe spikes, summer kitchen and basketball goal. At least 3 small barns, concrete floors on 2 and water/electric in the 3rd. Too bad I didn't win the lottery Saturday night.

our weekend was so great. camping was fun, diving was awesome, saw lots of my dive buddies. i think we are ready for our big trip in a few weeks :dance:

not much going on up here, not a holiday. I'm trying to read the "bible" thick manual for my new Nikon camera, and do some test shooting, so I'll be proficient on my down-east trip next month. :crazy:

when we moved in, there was a 20'x20' by 3' deep pond, pretty full of water and fishes. our well is not of enough capacity to keep topping off the pond, and what little snow and rain we get is like a drop in the ocean. we do have a 3,000 gallon cistern fed by the guesthouse roof, but the gutter was not connected properly, so it didn't fill up either. the pond was slowly evaporating, so last week i netted all the fat goldfish (11, all about 5-7" long), and also caught a bunch of 1" long minnows, and transferred them to our rainbarrel, which does have some water in it from the house.

i then posted 'free gold fish' on the local freecycle site, got someone reply who wanted them....long story short, they didn't get here, and the fat fish all died, so i had to scoop them out of the rainbarrel and toss them to the winds. went back today with a few more dead ones, and something ated all the fishes.

think i have 1 large one remaining as well as about 70 minnows, but their time is short. pond dried up yesterday. ewww.....

i tried out my new underwater camera... i need to go back and reread the manual for that and the external flash...... i suck (as my pictures show) :rofl:

yep, as noted above, wrapped up the wiring yesterday. needed one 4" square cover plate for a junction box, i knew i had a spare somewhere....took an hour to find it.

5 20A power circuits, 1 20A lighting circuit (fluorescent lights for dark days/nites, 768 watts of lights).

well, comcrap just left AGAIN... "cant find your problem. sorry. maybe the maintenance guys will find something. i'll send them out sometime this week"

I thought it was recording and it wasn't so when I went to stop the recording...I actually started it so I got 2 secs of the dashboard and nothing from the cool down lap :( Part of it was the sun being so bright I couldn't see if the light was on..just thought I hit it to turn it on.
