I still have Toys in the Attic from the '70's. Haven't played it in years. Aerosmith has sucked major balls since the '80's. Change-the-station suck.

in middle school, I remember our teacher playing "big 10 inch" off toys in the attic
then they sobered up and everything they did was gayer than ru paul running a train on richard simmons

Big Ten Inch was first recorded by Bull Moose Jackson in 1952. Referencing the bell size of his horn.

So if Creed developed a drinking problem, you think their music would improve?

LATB 03-03-2024 5:27pm

Best song Aerosmith ever did was Dream On. And this lady does it better than asshole Tyler could.

The same happened to Metallica. Hetfield's wife ****ed him up. He dumped her, and the last album is the best in a long, long time.

Many commented on social media and wondered if he went back to drinking alcohol.

I wonder if that is what happened to Van Halen. Eddie lost his way after VH's Balance.

Regarding Aerosmith, they are a band that never went big. Let's be honest, their singer doesn't look very manly at all.

It might seem that booze and drugs are the missing variable but in truth, all the high end studio, touring and recording guys are stone cold sober. Hell, I get the evil eye for toking it up before a show from my producer.

I think the reality is they make more complex songs with big production using professional writers from the label. Think about how different the production is from early Aerosmith to late Aerosmith.

Love in an Elevator is a very complex arrangement that is heavily edited. It’s not booze or the lack of it. It’s commercialization.

Sobering up and living long on royalties beats the alternative. :yesnod:

Finding God and becoming a Christian rock band? You a big Stryper fan or something?

Interesting perspective. When I think of a band that is heavily edited, I think of the Eagles. That band is way over-produced. Always sounds good, but must cost a fortune.
