I know a lot of people aren't happy with the choices we have or with 2 parties dominating the election so we basically only have 2 choices. So name someone who has not made any political comments or stands but is well known and respected nationwide that you think would be a good choice if he/she suddenly announced they were running as an Independent.

Honestly there is no one with half a brain who would want to go through the crap that goes with the job.
But to really play along I pick Alan Mulally.

Who is he and why would you pick him? Is he well known enough to get the votes?

I hate to say it, but you folks on the Trump train now all had several opportunities to vote Ron Paul. Lots of what Trump is saying, Paul was saying back then. In fairness, Paul wasn't pushing booting the illegals as much as Trump. Bonus: Paul voted AGAINST the Iraq war....unlike Hillary. Perot comes to mind, too. Ask middle America about that giant sucking sound.

He was the CEO of Boeing and then CEO of Ford who turned them around and avoid the bailouts Mopar and GM took from the .gov.
He has proven he can get the tough jobs done.

BUT you have to realize that the FORD family had the decades old BUX to bail out the company with their name on it......GM/Chrysler had NO such salvation family attachment, any of them from decades ago had moved on, FORD not so much.....

Actually he sold off other car lines and mortgaged other Ford assets to stop the bleeding and refocus on the U.S. market.

I asked a couple guys at work. One said Peyton Manning because he is famous, well liked and seems to have his head on straight. The other said Sam Elliott because of the stache.

Someone that hasn't made any political statements or been in politics. Because most people are sick of politicians.

that is all that would be accomplished by writing in any vote that's not Trump.

Very few are actually riding on that train, but know the destination of this country if Hillary wins.

There is only one way to defeat Hillary; either you vote for Trump... or you assure a Hillary win.

Huh? Ron Paul ran for president 3 times....in the PAST. He didn't run this go-round, and I can't see how you could infer that I want to write him in.

I agree; but no way in hell he can win. All Johnson can accomplish is to detract some votes away from Trump.

FYI;

noteable 3rd party candidates (that received any worthwhile percentage of ballot votes) for President, in modern times...
