THEY LIED!

Mike Mercury 11-09-2016 10:23am

the polls reflected their personal politics. They are shocked at the outcome, while the rank & file American tax payer is not all that surprised.

:iagree: I don't think that they are that incompetent with the actual data digesting and number crunching, I think that they just kept massaging the numbers until they saw what they wanted to see.

Also, the mainstream media was so busy coronating their queen from the start that they failed to do their jobs and just report the news instead of trying to control it. I'm glad they got a big fat kick in the nadz by the puplic.

their models don't work anymore. time to think of another methodology.

Maybe just report the news and not do 100 different dress rehearsals for the election.

F'n genius pollsters.

OddBall 11-09-2016 5:48pm

Watching MSNBC right now. (It's a lot of fun to watch right now :Jeff '79:), and they still just don't get it. They are still in a tailspin trying to figure out what the f'ck happened.
:funnier:

Pollsters are the happiest that minimum wage is being increased. It won't be such a financial setback for them as they are turned loose.

was watching Chris Stirewalt last night on Kelly. he still insisted that the polls were correct. :slap:

but that it was more akin to hitting the bird with a shotgun than with hitting the bullseye with a rifle shot.

really?

then why have polls reported to the 1/10 of a percent with a 4 percent margin of error? it's like measuring a chalk mark with a micrometer. worthless. the best they could truly say was that the election will be close. which is true most times. so still worthless.

If they were correct then why could guys like Sundance over at CTH accurately predict what was going to happen to the polls literally weeks in advance? Because once you understand media polling, that is, polls commissioned by some media outfit or c3/c4 entity, you realize that they are paying for a product. That product is meant to promote their desired outcome. If that outcome calls for Trump to be up at a certain point, they get that result. And if now Clinton needs to show tremendous momentum, you get that result. They just adjust the internals as needed.

It's really very simple.

They lie.

Aerovette 11-10-2016 12:11pm

I actually think the polls were correct. The issue is the POLLING. How it was done, what was the demographic? They polled in a manner that gave the desired result. It does not make them inaccurate, it makes them manipulated. They manipulated poorly.
