I had to try it....flex seal on my 99 gmc

At 241K looks like the PS pump oil cooler steel pipes are rusty enough to spurt fluid on occasion, so instead of a bypass I tried it as I already had some...worse it can do is not work…...we will see tomorrow!:leaving::lol:

Might have too much pressure to work there.

Best of luck! Back in the 80's I had an old car and the radiator started to leak. So, being a broke college student, I head out to the Advance for some stop leak. I dump the little container in the radiator, and I'm fairly certain it plugged the original hole. However, when the radiator built up some pressure, another weak link was found, and it exploded like a grenade!

I’m voting for it won’t work but points for trying, I would have never thought of flex seal for that :seasix:

Of all the claims they make about Flex Seal, I've never heard them say how much heat it can withstand.

Alas....what I coated is good...now the tubing around the fins not so much @#$%&
So my cheap ass will bypass it once I get a break from Hurricane Florence. Of course I could take all the fins off and coat...…….. |
