I shot a good portion of the afternoon. I'm getting the little nuances down a bit better. I was trying to track the Eagle while I was still on the gimbal but was failing miserably so I popped the quick release and hand held. That was, well, interesting.

If you can shoot birds in flight, you can shoot about anything. Amazing shot.

Just use care when you take it off the tripod and point it skyward... That lens looks like a SAM at a distance. You might meet some interesting folks in black Suburbans. :-)

I was contacted by the MN DNR Non-Game Wildlife about that. I was able to screw around with the contrast/highlights and whatnot and get them a band number. They think the bird migrated here from Vermont. When they know more they'll let me know. :cert:
