Who wants to be a millionaire???

In 2009 (or 2010), a New Mexico millionaire (and modern-day Indiana Jones) gave the world a fascinating puzzle when he hid a treasure estimated to be worth between $1-5 million dollars and provided a cryptic poem full of clues hinting at its location. Tens of thousands have trekked through Colorado, Idaho, Montana, New Mexico, Utah, and Wyoming in search of Forrest Fenn’s hidden treasure. To date, the location of the treasure remains a mystery, despite a plethora of clues pointing to its location.

Forrest Fenn, millionaire writer, art dealer, and artifact collector, says he hid his treasure to get people off of their couches and into the wilderness. Fenn flew more than 300 missions in Vietnam and was shot down twice before retiring from the Air Force. From there, Fenn opened an art gallery in Santa Fe, New Mexico where his business quickly grew serving high-end clients including Jackie Kennedy, Ronald Reagan, Robert Redford, Steven Spielberg, Gerald Ford, John Wayne, Cher, and several members of the Rockefeller family.

When he was diagnosed with terminal cancer he says he hid over a million dollars of rare coins, jewelry, art, etc. for a lucky treasure hunter to find. He says the treasure was hidden in the Rocky Mountains, and he wrote a poem that he says give clues to the location of the treasure:

As I have gone alone in there
And with my treasures bold,
I can keep my secret where,
And hint of riches new and old.

Begin it where warm waters halt
And take it in the canyon down,
Not far, but too far to walk.
Put in below the home of Brown.

From there it’s no place for the meek,
The end is ever drawing nigh;
There’ll be no paddle up your creek,
Just heavy loads and water high.

If you’ve been wise and found the blaze,
Look quickly down, your quest to cease,
But tarry scant with marvel gaze,
Just take the chest and go in peace.

So why is it that I must go
And leave my trove for all to seek?
The answers I already know,
I’ve done it tired, and now I’m weak.

So hear me all and listen good,
Your effort will be worth the cold.
If you are brave and in the wood
I give you title to the gold.

He doesn't want anyone to get rich.

He just wants people to get some exercise.

Therefore, Sea Six concludes that it is highly likely there is no treasure.

That'll be $0.50, cash please.

Was I supposed to let people know that I've already found it?

Well...Mr. Fenn said that the reason for his hiding the treasure was to encourage people to get of the couch and go outside! I think I'd just keep your good fortune news to yourself and let others get healthy....:yesnod:
