I am neither a refugee, nor an evacuee. I did wander over here years ago, and lurked some. I no longer have any recollection of why I decided to join a year and a half ago or so, but I doubt anyone cares.

Regardless, I think I had about 20 total posts here before the bullshit that happened over there. But once that did occur, I started spending more time here of my own free will. I have yet to go back to the other place other than to read things that folks here said were funny. Actually, none of them were particularly entertaining IMO.

I plan to post the results thread of me and Meathead's bet over there, because the whole thing started over there, and I would like to prove a bunch of assholes over there wrong. Other than that, I have lost interest in the other place, and have no plans to go back.

Reading the keeping Cocke County Informed FB group...apparently the mayor ****ed up and did not transfer funds to cover IRS quarterly. 32K penalty. Then she lied about it. Entertaining. :)

ConAgra is closing the plant here... old plant, Stokely started in Newport. Almost 400 will lose their jobs. Very poor county, not a lot of industry.
