:yesnod::yesnod:

Last article I saw said it had a BMW sourced dual turbo inline-6 and shared the underpinnings with a BMW Z4... Sounds more BMW than Toyota...

MrPeabody 01-12-2019 6:20pm

But how many cupholders does it have?:leaving:

BMW designed interior-one and one that can attach to the side of the console as it was an afterthought.

Toyota designed interior-6 upfront 4 in the rear.

It's not an MKIV, and that ship has sailed. I miss my old car, which is now likely north of $120k.

Would have, could have, should have :violin:

I probably should have bought that 67 Mustang 390 GT for $750 back in the day too.

Hope the new Supra is what you're looking for :cert:

Hope that Supra lives up to your expectations, Craig.

Yessir, and I wished I had picked up one of those back in the day.

This new one is going to be incredible and on my short list after the initial demand comes back to earth.

Me too...that's the big unknown at this point. Tomorrow should shed some light.

335 hp?!?! Pass

Yes, I understand that the old Supra had 320 hp / 325 tq, and the BMW engine has more torque. If the price point is anything more than $40k, this car will fail. If it's $50k or more, there are simply WAY too many competitors that bring a whole lot more to the table, specifically Corvette.

Yeah, but the Corvette won't have that great six cylinder sound.:leaving:

I'm a huge Supra fan and this thing is a big bag of meh.

Millenium Vette 01-15-2019 2:27pm

well, I still like it, but I like the Z4 version much better.

Damn, that is disappointing. I'd expect them to roll out with a 450+ hp version with a forged bottom end like the old ones that can handle 900 hp.
Being a tuners dream was a big part of the hype of the old Supras.

I was always partial to the Gen 3 ones although I suspect it's a small fan club.

Since I'm now no longer in the market (pending a higher hp version and a manual down the road), it just means the race car will come back to life much sooner. :yesnod:

Continuing with the money we set aside for GWiz's education, making it from now until August means we will 100% pay for college without ever borrowing a penny. Post August, 2 more cars will be paid off, and then the next build begins. :seasix:
