TSLA
So TSLA has had a nice move since the S&P announcement. Will it spike a bit more on the effective date when the associated index funds have to own it? Or will that already be priced in? :island14:

Who knows? I own a single share as a lotto ticket, my only b.s. speculation in our portfolio.
I'm not invested in TSLA, I'm invested in the Tesla cult continuing to drink the kool-aid. Cathy Wood could be right and this thing could be a 20x bagger from here. It's a pretty devoted cult. They can slap together shitty cars in tents, scare off in-house counsel repeatedly b/c of rampant fraud, spit in the SEC's face, etc. and the cultists just buy in even more. |

Invest all your retirement funds in TSLA now. Timing the market always works well. :seasix:

I hope I get mine in 2021 but will just have to wait and see |
I gambled a few thousand a couple of months ago.

Years ago, I bought 1000 shares of Solar City. A few years later, TSLA bought them out with all stock, and I got a whopping 88 shares of TSLA for my 1000 SCTY. I later bought 12 more shares, bringing my cost basis to just under $400 per share. For years I sold calls at 400 any time there was money in them, until one of the big run-ups finally returned my $40,000 to me. I have never looked back.
Do any of you guys really think we are going to electric cars, and wind/solar power in the next 10-15 years? If not, unless you are very young, why would you invest in this company at current valuations? |
