Snapper rider for $10
Found a '80ish Snapper rider mower at an estate sale for $10 today. 14hp BS motor, electric start, large mowing deck (unsure exact size, but, not one of those itty bitty things). It will be fun to see I can it running and cutting.
There was an old gas tank with the carb. mounted to it for an old BS push mower of some type. I noticed one had sold on ebay for $29. If I can sell the old gas tank/carb thing for that...I'm already on the plus side :D I'm sure the Snap. will need some stuff though. Most likely a battery, unless, I can just add some acid/water and make it work or charge up to 12v. |
Make sure to fill the oil sump with water to check for leaks…

Our old snapper had a pull cord even with elec starter.
I'd throw some rims on it, loose the deck and terrorize the neighborhood with it. |

I've rode a couple of snappers in my time. Great fun. :D :makeout:

"Snapper rider" seems like a nickname I could have had when I was in my 20s and 30s.

Can't get the battery to even start to charge. Haven't tried jumping it off. Yep, a new one is $20, but what fun is that?
My goal might be to invest $0 to see if i can get it running? Epsom salt to regen battery? Or.. |
