More later but I'm just headed out the door for a 50 minute drive to the venue. It's a milestone because it marks success in getting a 9 piece ensemble off the ground and earning money.

As icing on my own personal cake, I'm in heaven playing with these guys. They are almost all SRV contemporaries who knew him well and played with him.

What a trip. I would have thought my last band was the pinnacle of music playing for me. That was a seriously hard hitting band with total pro players. It takes a long time to make that happen.

I'm sure I've posted this before - this is that band -
But now I see that there are even higher levels to achieve musically. I think that's pretty cool.

This guy knows the real SRV story.

No video and my audio recorder wouldn’t start up for some reason. That thing was $650 a few years ago. Damn.

It went well. I think the client was happy and the folks that run ACL came out just to check it out. I got home at 2am. Woof.
