Williamsburg VA- New Town Cruise in
Has it started for the summer yet? Anyone going? TIA
I'm sure it has but I'm working Strawberry Hills horse races in New Kent and won't get off in time.
Not going to make anything for another week or so. My schedule is so full with rehearsals, and concerts that all I am doing is work and music for the next two weeks.
Josh,
I have looked and can not find any information about the cruise in or any contact information to see about the Colonial Corvette Club taking it over. I have even looked at the mustang club as they supposedly ran it last year and NADA. Maybe we should just plan on doing it in the upcoming weeks and see who shows. Mike |
Mike,
How are you doing bud! Good to see you here at the barn. Also, Joe (aka ZZ4Vetteguy) put one together last year for us ratpackers. He might have some contact. |

I e-mailed Randy of Colonial Corvette Club a few minutes ago to ask about the cruise-in. Nothing is posted on their web site...
I emailed the Mustang club that was sponsoring it last year and a Mustang guys in the club, I will let you know if I get anything back.
For what its worth, I saw the tent out there last weekend but there were ZERO cars by 6pm.
IMO 4pm is the worst time to do it b/c it can be so hot sitting in the parking lot at that time of day. Seems like a 5 or 6 start time would be better, but Im not sure if New Town is down for that. |
I got word they are moving to High Street, not far from Newtown area.
Sounds good but there isn't nearly as much parking there with the Movie Tavern, Plaza Azteca, etc.
It doesn't sound like it is a done deal yet. I was told they have about 100 parking spots available. The address for map was 1477 Richmond Road. I don't know the area up there.
