Anyone have Zoom? Do we want to do a VBvHH? (Vette Barn virtual Happy Hour)?

I've hear zoom is spyware

Zoom is CCP spyware of the first order. I would no more use it or allow my company to use it than I would get us all Huwai phones.

We're using Slack and webex.

We have slack too. Most people seem to use zoom though? Not sure why?

Please cite your evidence for this. I work for a defense contractor and we use Zoom extensively. If what you say is true we need to stop using it ASAP.

We use the other spyware known as Google Hangouts Meet. But seriously, Zoom was caught with their pants down recently, not only sending your data to FB (and probably the audio too) but also making hotlinks to network devices and compromising control of your camera and mic.

CCP is the Chinese Communist Party. They make Zoom. Well, their intelligence division does.

I am open to google too. Just wanted to throw something out there to see if anyone is interested.

So far we’ve: Zoomed, Blue Jeaned, Skyped, and Webexed. My computer can’t handle any more video web software.

I have all of those and GoToMeeting. :willy:

Ok. Keep your head firmly sanded.

I mean if there was a story that literally proved the CCP was using Zoom to spy, I’m pretty sure EVEN THEN people would say “Well that’s not proof they are doing it nefariously.” Reading between the lines is not for everyone but I’d at least hope our defense contractors would be more discerning.
