:yesnod: Only because we live in a neighborhood you can't shoot them, most folks here treat them as pets. On our property in Oroville you wont see shit even though they are there because they know the sound of weapons. So far, deer, racoons and fox are the norm around here. They could give a shit less about humans :seasix:

We have mulies, elk, bobcat, fox and even sometimes a moose or a bear. When I lived back east, I used to joke that I could hunt white tail with an apple and a ball bat. The mule deer will kick your butt if they feel it's necessary.

I'd be inclined to take up bow hunting here in the hood if we had elk. It's totally different here than our place in Oroville (much more rural up there). There, if you rack a round not even the mosquitos will bother you :D

Cow elk is tasty. They pretty much eat a cow diet. The problem is they figured out how not to be not in the danger zone. This is from Estes Park where they're protected.
