Went racing last evening..

First run was against the 1200+ HP Lucid Air Sapphire which has run 8's before.. While I cut a slightly better light, he flew by me.. What a fast car.
2nd run was against a C7 Vette
3rd run against a 13 second Mustang

Touching a button and going straight must be so much fun!

:rofl::rofl::rofl:

In a minivan no less.

I hope that every one had fun.
I could not race a EV too much like sitting in your living room
with a game. Little to no noise, maybe, at the track you should turn up
your radio just for background sound.
No ear plugs needed.

Yeah, I agree on the turds.

I don't even know how to say that.

I went racing too. Won 3 in a row on F1 ‘23 even though I had a controller battery die during qualifying at Spa and had to start from the back.

You don't touch a button. Sure, if you have a transbrake, you push a button.
Drag racing is not for everyone. Well over 100 cars at Test&Tune, so, people love it.
No difference taking a automatic car or an EV down the track. Most cars are automatic. Sound is the only difference.

And I won every single road race in Forza Horizon 5.

Ronins2ndCuzzin 03-29-2024 7:59am

I win every race online too...strange how that works when you're playing against AI. Just like I win every dogfight on Ace Combat, and my KD is positive on COD. I didn't know video game stats have wandered into dick measuring.

He went to the track and got to go fast. That would be fun for every single one of us, and he run what he brung, as they say.

My old neighbor's son used to take his tuned half ton Silverado with the smaller V-8 to the track. Heck, he and I may or may not have lined up at night on a seldom used road around our area, truck to truck, and, uh, driven the speed limit together.

simpleman68 03-29-2024 8:47am

2nd to last time I drag raced.

Visceral rush: shallow staging, tach'ing up to just the right rpm, waiting for the 2nd of 3 yellow lights, slipping the clutch at just the right speed, and then shifting at just the right spots while the car is wiggling from side to side at 100+ mph.
What a rush

Scott

If that was in any way directed at me, you clearly missed the sarcasm.

Sure. But test and tune =/= racing.

We’ve been down this path before.

Nice video focusing on your rear view mirror. I noticed there wasn't much in it....

I hate it when the controller batteries die!

Easy to win when the AI difficulty is set to low....:) Try racing others online in FH5.

Swany00 03-29-2024 10:04am

kind of a big deal

Difficulty set to average, not low. Won every single race with my 850 HP Aventador.

Kevin68 03-29-2024 10:30am

So what were you tuning at the test and tune?
