{MERGED} Roll Call for Gas and Diesel prices...
 

This is crazy shit my friends. I filled up last Saturday as I had to head on down to San Diego to visit my mom. I paid just a hair over $4/gal. Today, its $4.55 at my local Chevron. The Shell and others are the same. Hell, even the local Spirit gas station, which normally is 0.25 cents below Chevron, is at the same price. WTF?

Damn price is increasing 5-10 cents every day. Glad I carpool to work, but still this is ridiculous. Hard to budget your money with these see-saw prices. Anyone feeling the pain?

My solution is to either make more money or to buy a girl's car...like a 2.5l Porsche boxster...this would be in violation of my 400hp and up rule, but it would be at least parked on the street.

But for real, this is bs...we are within 10 cents of the peak prices we had in 2009 when oil was $140 a bbl and it is only $109 right now...WTF? There isn't any good investments right now so I think speculators are jacking the market on commodities again.

I just put the top end back on my ZR again...cost $58 to top up the tank after my test drive...I think I spent $120 topping up all my cars...if it goes over $5 I guess I'll either buy that small engine shitbox, rob a bank or sell blood and sperm to make ends meet.

Went to Pizza Hut and the damn gas went up two cents...$4.49

I think still cheaper than buy a hybrid car.

Just filled up the Vette and my wife's car. I paid $3.39 for Premium and $3.05 for regular. What ever is going on, keep it away from Utah :D

Don't know about diesel. My wife just bought a new Hyundai Tuscon that gets 32 MPG (Yes, I'm married to a ricer). Thought I had her talked into a SHO, but changed her mind. Oh well, flame away......................

We're still at about $3.85 for Diesel here... haven't actually bought gas in a while with the Vettes in the garage so I haven't paid much attention.



I too am on board with the small, efficient DD approach. :D

Looking at the numbers, I'm thinking that I made the switch from the gas 2500 (12.3 mpg) to the diesel 3500 at just the right time.

Every so often, the bachelor lifestyle has it's small perks. :D

So why is it that Utah can have a $1+ difference in cost of gas? Just does not make any sense to me.

We're still at about $3.40 here for regular (100% no alcohol). I'm lucky enough that my DD is a company provided pickup and therefore the gas is also paid for. I've been desensitized I guess, I don't even pay attention to the price most of the time until I have to fill up the vettes.
