My favorite invention is the contact bandage! It’s amazing!

I read that at first as contact bondage.

I mean, yeah, I'm a little disappointed, but OK, bandages are cool, too.

This is all I can find

A bandage contact is a contact lens for the eye available for management of injuries and abnormalities. A doctor can prescribe a bandage contact as part of the patient's care plan and the device may be left in for several days. In some cases, a doctor needs to remove the lens. This provides an opportunity for a follow-up examination to see if the patient's eye is recovering well, and to check for any signs of complication.

Scratched cornea last Saturday. Two trips to doc in a box. It was so painful drugs wouldn’t stop the pain. Went to ophthalmologist Monday. She put in the contact bandage and it immediately eased the pain. Went back to ophthalmologist and she removed the contact, said cornea abrasion was about 80% healed, no permanent damage, using antibiotic drops.

Cliffs:
Boo boo on eye. Dr fixed it!

You invented these?

Olustee bus 09-06-2020 4:00am

No wonder you love them. Hurts my eye even thinking about it. Glad you got relief!

LisaJohn 09-09-2020 6:45pm

Well crap! Back to the eye doc this morning. Cornea abrasions can sometimes “break down and re-open” according to doc. So a second contact bandage and go back to eye doc next week.

Rodnok1 09-09-2020 6:56pm

Sorry hasn't gotten better yet, my friend's eye after surgery took a couple weeks. He said the itching was unbearable and got some drops from dr. Wish I'd known about these patches in January...
