All day at the tag office

Need to tag and title the truck I bought a couple of weeks ago. Got here at 10:38 and signed in. It's 3:45 now and nineteen still ahead of me.
A whole day wasted.

Bummer. And I thought it was slow here! I figure 3 hours minimum no matter how trivial the task to complete.

Sucks.... all plate offices here outsourced. It easier for me to drive to Bufu Oxford or Henderson and do the transition there where I wait ~15 min. State title is state title, plates for different county but the office gets the $fee.....

Nice 20-30 min drive on 2 lane hwy w no traffic also

Most of it online here. If I go right up the street and talk to the dumshit twins it is a horrible experience. If I drive to Evansville, it takes no more than 5 minutes and you are in and out.

ICNLT.

Actually the DMV here was incredibly helpful. We were selling a SUV to Becki’s brother who lives on the island. The woman who worked at the downtown office was so atypical of what you expect, it was amazing

Surprisingly ours is very quick most days, but right now they are barricaded for everything but CDL test drives.

What a waste of time, here in N.H. each city or town does their own reg and plates.Takes about 10 minutes
.Just did them online for the wifes car and the vette on a Sunday might and by Tuesday they arrived in the mail.
Only time you go to the dmv if for license renewal or test taking.

We have emission testing here. They have closed emission test centers and waived it since the middle of March until the 26th of this month. They also closed the court house downtown and the other satellite office leaving only one for the whole city. Plus, with emissions waived every pos in the city is getting tagged. Renewals can be done online. I did two of our cars last week that way but this was for the truck I bought a couple of weeks ago so it had to be titled as well.

At 10:38 I was number 155. They quit taking customers at twelve o'clock. I walked out the door at 4:51. Six hours and thirteen minutes.
I have had it with this covid bullshet.

You went to the Chattanooga office huh? The Cleveland office at the courthouse is usually a 15 minute affair. We don't have emissions testing though, my vette would never pass, no cats.

Had to pick up my turned in tag on the XLR because I dropped the insurance for the winter layover. I thought I was going to go through your ordeal yesterday when I went to the DMV. Transactions are by appointment only at this time, so I called to make one.

Once I explained what I needed, lady said go around the side of the building to the "dealers only" entrance. There was a line at the main entrance, which I passed by, went to the dealer door. Gave the info, got my tag, out in 2 minutes.

One of the more pleasant visits.

Yeah, Bradley Co doesn't test. Hamilton is supposedly doing away with it next year.

I remember all the hubub about testing when it started in Hamilton county. I24 and I75 interchange and traffic seemed to be the major cause. Most of it originating from out of the area. Maybe the new interchange will smooth traffic flow. Probably won't happen in my lifetime though, they're slow as can be getting anything done with the interstates around here. Look at the West side of Chattanooga at 27, they've been working on that for as long as I can remember.

BADRACR1 05-20-2020 8:52pm

I remember when I27 ended at Signal Mtn Blvd before they built the connector.

Supposedly passed the bill already to end it but the county still has contracts to play out. Looking at maybe June or July before it is gone.
