You can see rear damage to driver side and gas tank, that has all been repaired.

Hoping to get her back this summer. resto started in 17'. Slowly but surely.

Some engine porn: It should be easy to tell the before from the after. The previous shop did a complete hack job. :thomas:

Being done correctly now. Note, not NCRS level. She will be shown as a resto~mod with as many original parts as possible. #'s matching with fuel tank sticker intact. :banana1:

This guy is amazing, he even fabricates parts!

Fuel filter required stabilization, he fabricated the part and applied heat shrink tubing.

I did nothing, PO apparently had impact on rear driver side and front passenger, the front was just fiberglass damage.


No significant DAMAGE/rust on the birdcage :banana1:

BTW, crazy long thread that I started when I began the resto after my dad passed if anyone is interested. NOOB so I found the forum to assist with all the stupid questions I had.

Some of the gas tank work that was done, new tank since the old one was rusted. It was coated external and internal to prevent any future rusting.

Everything got an epoxy coating, including straps.

Waiting for it to warm for paint. New estimated completion date this Sumner.

As he has been working on the car, he has come across issues that he did not feel right not addressing, I am thankful for that so being patient so the car comes back correct.

I cannot even wait to get the car back! After a fiasco of people working on her that completely F'ed" things up, I am super excited to have expert hands on her. :hurray:
