Mod ideas

Hey guys, I have a stock 07 with the A6 and want to starts some mods, but maintain good street manners... I really don't want to do long tube headers. Is there a good cam, intake, and tune that would up the performance without killing street manners and cause me to cut the firewall for clearance? I talked to one of the guys over at VA speed and they mentioned a cam kit and tune, but couldn't give me a ballpark figure on improvement... He only said it was about 2K installed and tuned. (maybe I should talk to the guys in the shop and not the one behind the counter).

I don't have a set number in my head, but I do want the car to leave quicker and shift harder.... would be nice if the tuner could make the paddle shifter quicker too. (they seem to have a bit of delay). I don't use this car for drag racing or auto-x, just spirited driving.

"spirited driving?" put a bottle on it. :)

One of the things you'll want to do since you don't want LT's is a set of Z06 exhaust manifolds. They flow really well for a stock exhaust manifold and will not amplify the valve train noise like LT's will.

Have a brief talk with Shawn and VA Speed about your goals and then let him have his way with the car. Shawn's setup and Ed's tuning is a very difficult combination to beat.

Since mine is an LS2, would I get my manifolds from an LS6 or a 7?

spirited driving is a polite way of saying: beating the sh@t out of it:leaving:

not really interested in the bottle, though... I would have to fill it all of the time:D
