Has anyone ever read Mein Kampf?

Please don't get me wrong about my curiosity.
It has nothing to do with following his ideas but just a curiosity about the man.

I'm sure it would be an interesting read for anyone interested in psychology and how others think.

i don't like people who want to tell me what to do, and who treat me as some part of some group they have invented for their convenience because dealing with individuals is messy.

That's not really the answer to the question......

I looked at it, but didn't read it...Does that count ?

That was about Hitler right? I am watching Inglourious Basterds right now. The WWII era has always interested me...

It's almost impossible to read. I've tried. TWICE.

Say what?
What does that have to do with being curious about how someone thinks?

Close. You didn't read because you weren't interested?

People interest me. I'm a very god judge of character and figure people out pretty quickly.
When it concerns someone like Hitler and the extremist he is it's a whole different story though.

I'm thinking that Mein Kampf was written by Hitler, not about Hitler.... I forgive your ignorance.....

Yeah, good movie, but completely fictional. It's kind of like Pulp Fiction - not that great of a movie, but a collection of great scenes.:seasix:

No, the translation is OK. It's just the book itself. Boring as HELL.

I've read several monsters; War and Peace and Anna Karenina among them. Anna Karenina was REALLY good BTW.

Someone should have killed the fuk just for that book.

The Bear Jew scene is hilarious.
"Teddy fuckin' Williams knocks it out of the park! Fenway Park on its feet for Teddy fuckin' Ballgame! He went yardo on that one, out to fuckin' Lansdowne Street!"

Of course it is completely fictional. Not that I put it past anyone to do those things, just nothing that was actually documented, and damn sure not taught in public school!

The basement bar scene and shoot-out was intense.

Read "The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich" by William Shirer. It's widely considered the definitive account of Nazi Germany.

And it's good.
