I knew I had this stuff, but had not seen it in a long while... You think ROB still works?

If that dude picks up the spindles I'll be surprised. But I'll definitely be testing it out! 8-bit games were fun!

We broke out the Wii this summer because COVID. My youngest daughter had gained 74 pounds...

That is worth a good bit of money these days. Collectors will go bat shit crazy over that collection.

I still have several working nintendo consoles, games, accessories, and a working original gameboy with several games.

Sell it.

Dumb millenials and zoomers will pay you handsomely for it, along with any CRT televisions you might have, for the "authentic experience."

Meanwhile you can emulate anything you want to for free, and doing so is much easier on the eyes for anyone actually old enough to have enjoyed the authentic experience as a youth.

Wait. Whut? just a few years ago CRT TV's were an albatross that people couldn't even give away.

I'm a late adopter, so before I bought my first flat screen, when my CRT tube started failing, I picked up a free 32" CRT TV from Craigslist, and the owner was VERY happy to be rid of it. A few years later when it came time for me to get rid of it, I put it on Craigslist for free, with a digital tuner set top box and it took a while before someone finally came to get it. I didn't even get the usual calls from people interested who just don't show up. I mean, it was radio silence until someone finally wanted it and it wouldn't have gone had I not included the digital tuner as a bonus.

You cleaned out your basement? Did you happen to see Joe?

I have a 32" CRT and two rear projection TVs, a Mitsubishi 55 that works fine and a JVC 60 that doesn't, that are hogging up space in an extra bedroom. Too big for me to move. They are headed for the dump as soon as I can get a couple guys to help me move them. My neighbor put his 55" rear projection TV at the end of his driveway with a sign that said FREE ...and then pushed it back in to his garage. No use for them.

I thought about having converted to an aquarium.

You can try putting them on Craigslist or other free to use sales sites. You might get really lucky as I did, especially if you throw in the digital converter boxes with them.

If that fails, I have an appliance dolly and get over to your side of town every couple of weeks. If the Craigslist strategy fails, I'll help you move them. Just find out if Harris County recycling centers will take them, and where and when they can be dropped off. My city recycling center will take them from residents only, at no charge, but only on certain days of the week and only for a few hours during those days. You have to really WANT to dispose of them properly.

This partially explains why some areas of Houston looks like an open air trash dump.

Was thinking same as I continued my basement dive today. I have no idea who will take most of this electrical crap.
