F-4 Phantoms anyone??
I thought this was some great footage. I have some photos of a couple of these F-4's when they were out at Nellis AFB several years back. Love these things..

:cool1: Whole lot of airplane.

We carried an F-4 on the helo deck of our destroyer tender from Japan back to San Diego. Someone had erroneously ordered it and they needed it back in San Diego so hoisted it onto our helo deck for the trip back - they would NOT let us take any photos and threatened court martial if we did. Love those planes though.

He was court martialed and drummed out of the Navy. The Admiral in charge of that area was not amused and ordered our Captain to haul it back. Everyone in command was pissed off. That is why they would not let us take pics. Touchy subject I guess. |
The F-4. Proof that given enough power, you can make even a brick fly.

One of my favorites, a few from the AF Museum at WPAFB.

My favorite jet fighter. All American aces of the Vietnam war flew F-4's. Also read that the F-4 is the only plane that was used by the Air Force, Navy and Marines.:patriot::patriot::patriot:
