No i haven't. Brian Wilson was one of the greatest writers. I grew up to the Beach Boys as did most Californian's and Hawaiians. :yesnod:

Yup, according to my forecast for the next week there are only a couple more sub-freezing nights to put up with. Then the overnight will get all the way up into the 40's :D

They played at the football field here several years ago. Could hear them pretty good from across the fence.

Great pics! Brian Wilson was there so it was really the Beach Boys. A watered down version of the Beach Boys played at a company gig I attended in Nassau. Brian Wilson wasn't there. Mike Love and Jardine, were there, but when they played they sounded like a Beach Boys cover band. Glad you got to see the real deal. Many years earlier I saw the real thing a couple times but never up close.

I didn't have a proper appreciation for Pet Sounds until a few years ago. Maybe the best album ever recorded - worst case top 5.

Really interesting story about that album against what the Beatles were doing at the time. Wilson was phenomenal.

Remember them well. Mid-late 70s was a ripe time for 50s/early 60s nostalgia groups and they did it better than most. Sha-Na-Na too. Both latched on to the popularity of Happy Days.

I saw them in 1975. I just can't remember where. :hat:
