Hoping to buy my first Corvette
 

Hello everyone, please bear with me, as I am a Corvette virgin, hoping to buy my first ever Corvette within the next 2 years.
Where do I start? What should I be wary of?
I might ask some silly questions!
I would really like a 1977 or '78 model, but would consider other years. I want to drive the car, not buy it and have it sit in the garage. Should you park your Vette over the winter or can you drive it year round? I live in Mississauga, Ontario.
I would really like a convertible, but my wife says that might not be practical for our climate. How does a t-roof or targa top compare to a convertible.....do you still get that convertible feel?
I am sure I will have more questions, as my quest for my dream car continues. Any initial help or advice would be appreciated at this time.
