Project for a friend
 

I'm handy with tools and repairing stuff around the house and my cars, but I never "build" anything. I helped a friend revamp her patio and offered to make her a bar for the space. Interesting thing is, I've never made a bar or anything other than maybe shelves.

I went to Home Depot with no real clear idea of what I was working toward.

I randomly picked up stuff that I thought would all go into a bar. :island14:

Here is the end result. No plans, nothing. Just the approximate dimensions needed.

I'd have to get her ok to post her pic, but she's a cute one.

I was pleasantly surprised it came out half decent. I have no woodworking skills. I can cut it twice and it will still be too short. My motto: Measure 15 times, cut it wrong anyway.

Now you need one of these mounted on top of it with a couple of kegs underneath.....:thumbs:

I just cleaned this one up for sale on line. It's from my bar.....served thousands of draught beers through those....:datawiz:...:D

With all the expensive bits and pieces like the keg taps, lines, and custom handles not shown, and regulators.....500$. Shall I wrap it up? :D

I even have a limited edition Blue Jays tap handle with a replica on the Pennant ring inside the clear baseball handle. Very rare. I remember I had to take it off after a few days.....people were trying to steal it.:toetap:

Nice job on the bar. You have woodworking talent. Many others build a chair with two and a half legs. :D
