How much Oil are we depending on Russia for?

Better yet why are $$$ going crazy for 1% of oil for refineries.

Ok, the source is Aljazeera but is it true?

https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2022/...rt-from-russia

“ The US imports Russian oil, but it is not highly dependent on the country for its supplies.

In 2021, the US imported an average of 209,000 barrels per day (bpd) of crude oil and 500,000 bpd of other petroleum products from Russia, according to the American Fuel and Petrochemical Manufacturers (AFPM) trade association.
This represented three percent of US crude oil imports and one percent of the total crude oil processed by US refineries.“

I think it's more like 5% but AJ seemed to use a single week number.

We're looking at a situation where the green folks are just sitting back because they'd love to make it painful for fossil fuels.

Reserves are not the answer. They are limited and really only provide days of supply if they are the only answer. Again, something that the greens adore given if we deplete the reserve, it's one more fossil fuel source that is dry.

We were in a fossil fuel positive situation just a couple years ago. The current administration has turned that upside down in just a year. At $100+ a barrel, the fields in the US should be going crazy.

Anything above zero is too much, and now the left in this country want to buy from Iran.

It used to be "you can't make this shit up!" That ain't true anymore. The left can now make more shit up than the NYC sewer system.

We, as a nation, are being played on a MASSIVE scale. There are no good guys in this entire scenario...including our own government. The truth in my opinion, is that we have "corrupted" ourselves in to a corner. Like a liar that tells different versions to different people. We got ourselves in a ridiculous spot.

But hey, no mean tweets so, we've got that going for us.

Our government and our CIA corrupt more governments than anyone else. Incredible that we have become what we are but we know at this point the only solution to eliminate these threats within this government but this will never happen.

It could be worse. We could be living in Russia or China.

If gas prices go much higher I think we will see something happen.

We will be. Best part is, we won't have to move.

The real question should be "Why is America using foreign oil when we have massive proven reserves and the technology to get it out and into the market?"

:yesnod: Yet another policy failure by the current administration. Hopefully we can get domestic production ramped back up again quickly.

I'd love to lay this at Bidens feet but our energy polices have been a CF since Nixon. The only president who "Got it" Was Regan. He got out of the way and let the market drive the business.

BIDEN IS responsible for getting inthe way of the free market for his whole career and is a perfect example of what's wrong with our energy policy.
