Official Battlefield Cruz Registration 2010
 

This is the OFFICIAL BATTLEFIELD CRUZ post for 2010. The CRUZ is on Saturday APRIL 24th in Fredericksburg VA. All proceeds will be going to the FREDERICKSBURG AREA FOOD BANK.

The CRUZ will be from 09:00 AM - 15:30 PM Lunch will be provided by OUTBACK STEAKHOUSE. Cost will be $25.00 plus 2 Cans of Non Perishable Food (tuna, chicken, salmon, peanut butter, canned vegetables ect) If you want to bring more please do. We are having a Food Drive 17th - 24th so every thing we collect helps.

Bring your chairs. There will be several contests
50/50 Raffle
CRUZ Trivia (You will need a navagator to play)
Drawing for prizes. HOOTERS GIRLS WILL BE DRAWING FOR PRIZES

To far out to say if I can make it, but I have a question. If I make the trip up, do you have a spare room with a big screen TV? :lol:

I did the Cruiz last year and the minor blips just added to the fun ! Loved the car creeper auto-cross they did with kids,moms and Hooters ! Will be there if I can find a navigator...

Does this actually tour some civil war battlefields? Or is it just named after your club? I'm interested but it's too far out to commit.

I do have an extra room, as a matter of fact I have a 2 extra rooms. But i do not have any beds in them. But can always blow up the air matress. And I have a 65 inch HDTV in my living room so I have you covered on that one.
Sorry Tom no stripper pole. Maybe when i buy my house in the next year i will put one up in the basement along with the bar i plan on building in it as well.

Here is a little more info from the President of the club.

"Cruz is for everyone with a Corvette who is registered. The route will go by the battlefields and there is time to explore the Battlefields. This time is built into the schedule. We are finalising the route this week. Registration will open up at 0900 - 1030 we will leave Radley Chevrolet at 1030 - 1100 latest to start driving part of Cruz. When we return to Radely at approximately 1300 - 1330 lunch will be provided by Outback Steakhouse. There is no extra charge for this. We have some games and drawings to do after lunch for lots of prizes. Hooters Girls will help with this. Two people in each car is encouraged, that way you can play in the route trivia game. Come on up you will have a good time. Remember it is For the Fredericksburg Area Food Bank we are trying to raise $1000.00 and a Semi Truck full of food. We will finish up around 1530 or so. If you have more questions just give me a call 540 846 4556 after 5 pm."

As i get more details i will keep everyone informed. I wish I could tell you how fun last year was but i was in Iraq during the last one so I missed out. From what I can tell this year is looking better than last. This is also posted in CF as well so as Roger updates that post I will continue to update this post.

Thanks Randy... I'll most likely be at VIR that weekend for the Rolex Grand AM race, but if not I'll most likely come up for this... sounds like a blast... I love history and cars so what better than combining the two.

No worries! The history of the Battle fields is pretty cool. Just let us know if you are able to make it!

Here is a thought: How about Cruz Sat then head Cruz down to VIR for the Grand AM race?

Being a former crew member in the Grand AM series I would like to get to VIR and see some friends that are still playing in the series. However, a day cruzing in the Vette.................................

^ My father gets tickets from Suntrust b/c that's who his company banks with... it's a good weekend to spend time w/ my Dad so if he gets the ticks I'll be doing that.

Now no one said i was going to be on a stripper pole at all!!

I forgot that the race was that weekend and i know i wanted to go to that as well. Im digging your plan Lee, that could just work but that is going to make for a long a$$ Sunday!

Welp.... VIR is a no go so I may be able to attend :)

Some of us may be going to VIR on Sunday after the cruise! Is still to be determined

Might drive up to Richmond on Friday night before hand so I don't have to leave the house at 6ish to make it up there.

Anyone from down here think they'll be going up?
