Going to make BBQ sauce this week.
¼ cup Jack Daniels
1 tsp onion powder 1 tsp Tabasco 2 tsp red wine vinegar 2 cups dark brown sugar ¼ cup water 4 beef bouillon cubes 2 tsp Worcestershire 2 tsp Honey Going to put it on grilled chicken. Also might try to put together a dry rub to go with it too. I'll post some pics when I make it. |
sounds good, let me know how it turns out. I have been considering making my own sauce, but it is just too easy to buy sauce now days with the choices out there

JD sauce was awesome. I also added a little Mexican vanilla to the mix.

I generally don't like sweet sauce but I bet that was magnificent with grilled chicken.

I like making different bbq sauces.
Usually I will bake apples in some apple juice and brown sugar. Then take them out of the oven and mash them up. Pour them into a colander then cheesecloth to get out all the bits and collect the juice. Add the juice to a saucepan with more brown sugar, molasses, hot sauce, s&p, ketchup. That's the base. Sometimes I will add brandy, or grape jelly. Anything I think works well. |
