Sorry Tom, all you have to do is stop going to weddings every week and stop posting pictures with MJ.

Well right now, with a TB and inlet issue, the car put down 710rwhp (at 5400rpm)/780rwtq. I have a 107mm TB and larger inlet on order so once they are installed and a final tune is done, I hope to be in the 775rwhp range.

Right now we are pulling 8" of vacuum right at the TB so its a major restriction.

Incredible, must be hard to keep traction under 100MPH. Let us know what kind of results you get.

I have only had it back for about 10 days now so I am just putting miles on the car and breaking it in. Heck, I haven't even had it on the interstate yet and might have hit 65 once, haha.

I just want to make sure everything is perfect before really getting out it.

10 days, I don't blame you, take your time to break it in right or it will be back with Ed again. With the power you have, are you using DR's for street tires?

OBXFunn 10-17-2009 2:17pm

I am running Nitto 555's but if I feel like taking a cruise to "play" I run my CCW drag pack on the street, =)

I went with the Michelin PS2, 345's on the rear and have to warm the tires when temps are below 70 to get any traction. Next year I need to get something for track and fun, I am thinking MT right now.

OBXFunn 10-17-2009 4:46pm

If you ever want to borrow my drag pack for the track just ask. I don't have a problem loaning them out to friends.

I appreciate the offer, I am afraid they are to sticky for my drive train, I am afraid something expensive will break.

I am hoping I can wait until next year to upgrade my A6 and diff to handle the extra HP. I have a used set of MT Street DR in my garage, I will try them next time on the track.

Are you going to the track next year?

OBXFunn 10-17-2009 6:21pm

Yeah, I will track the car at some point. Since the car has been down for months I am enjoying driving it right now. I don't want to take it to the track anytime soon and break something. The last thing I want is for the car to be in the shop again.

thegreenman 10-17-2009 6:35pm

I don't blame you, enjoy it for the winter then get down to business next spring.

Steve is putting a track rental together Nov 13th at Richmond Dragway. I am having a knock issue but hope to install a meth kit this week to take care of it. A couple of other issues I need to take care of but haven't had time to fix yet. If the meth takes care of the knock I might hit the track next month to see how it does.

OBXFunn 10-17-2009 7:15pm

I actually thought about going and just babying it down the track just to have some fun. But knowing me, I wont be happy doing that and I will try to post a good time. That will lead to me breaking something I'm sure. I may just go as a spectator to support everyone and take some pictures.

Months....if you only new. LOL

Good to see it on the road.

I told Steve about my concern of breaking something at the track and he told me I could take it easy on takeoff. I don't think I can hold back, but I might. I really would like to go and take it down the track a few times.
