#71 seems like a good one.
The black X's contain no boats and will not.

You ain't boated much have ya? You don't haul all your crap down the dock to the boat. You take the boat to the boat ramp and drive yer truck over there, then throw all your junk straight from the truck to the boat and vice versa. :slap:

If ya got a big enough boat you don't even take the gear outta the truck, just bring the whole truck.

Is a pontoon boat more gay or less gay than a blow boat? :waiting:

Wow. I didn't realize that pontoon boats held their value like that. How much was that new?

Going to make a nice party boat, leisurely cruises on the Indian River, on calm days, a scoot out the inlet to the open seas. Bone up on charts of the area, lots of shallows.
Have fun.

the two happiest days for a boat owner are the day you buy the boat and the day you sell it

Thunder22 02-26-2020 6:38pm

why don't they want 2 pontoon boats back to back

Because they have about a 400 foot turning radius at idle. At some point it is likely both boats will want the same space at the same time... a recipe for disaster since low speed maneuverability is on par with a jet ski at idle... near zero.

:iagree:

Take the USCG course. Not only will you learn the rules of the water ( and the legal differences from land ) but you will also get a discount on the insurance. :yesnod:

Purchase a spare prop and extras of ALL the hardware that holds the prop in place in addition to a good quality prop wrench. ( hardware will probably be a washer next to the outdrive, a washer for the other side of the prop, a lock washer and nut. )

Check the actual water depth versus what the depth finder reads. It will save the prop :yesnod:

Different bottoms require different anchors, ask what works best in your area.

Take your time docking. It's not a race. Use the wind and the rotation of the prop to your advantage too.

Congrats and have fun :toast:
Jeff

Or don’t do any of this...and just remember to hold your phone sideways while filming the results!
