Looks like a good place to get a driveway rock. :yesnod:

No more rattle. :nono:

The loose parts fell off.

His door alignment was probably off by let's say...... 1/8" I bet :yesnod:

Where is that? How reliable has it been for those miles vs. maintenance costs? I've never owned anything German except for a '66 VW many years ago.

We need you in the video for context. Next time. Congrats.
I just got back from a 2700 mile road trip to Cortez CO in the '67. Averaged 20.6 MPG and used 1/2 quart of oil. Mainly because of the 2.56 rear gear I installed out back. But this post is a Yadkin post, so back to topic. Attachment 80816

My '66 GTO is near the top of the list of cars I wish I had back.

Probably anal beads in the door pocket. :Jeff '79:

I never got rid of this one. Have had it 40 years. Great road cars. Did the trip 30 years ago in this car and nothing. This time it was like we were rock stars. 30 years made the car suddenly a classic, I guess. :)

The '67 GTO was a classic from Day 1. :yesnod:

A control cable for the door lock. There's a foam sleeve to prevent the rattle, and it tends to slip down over time. On my list of things to do, low priority. :o

Top of Grandfather Mountain, NC.

Three issues so far. The rattle in the door (only happens when the door closes). The rattle in the sway bar bracket. Requires a "Porsche rated" battery which was $650 at the dealer vs. a $200 battery from O'Reilly.

Very easy to maintain since it is a 4-banger, with the engine placed in the center of the engine bay and not tucked under the dash like a BMW. The hood is huge so when open the top of the suspension is accessible.
